Delete your Quietly account

This page explains how to delete your account and data in the Quietly app.

Delete it in the app (fastest)

  1. Open Quietly and go to the Profile tab.

  2. Tap the settings icon at the top right.

  3. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.

  4. Type DELETE to confirm.

Your account is deleted immediately.

Can’t open the app?

If you uninstalled Quietly or can’t sign in, email simple2codepp@gmail.com from the address you signed up with. Use the subject “Delete my account”. We will delete your account and data within 30 days and reply to confirm.

What is deleted, and what may remain

  • Email address and sign-in accountDeleted immediately.

  • Profile: display name, picture, bioDeleted immediately.

  • Posts, replies and storiesDeleted immediately from the app and our database, along with the replies, likes and reports attached to them.

  • Likes, follows, blocks and notification settingsDeleted immediately.

  • Reports you filedDeleted immediately.

  • Audio files of your recordingsRemoved from our file storage as part of clean-up. Until that happens the file cannot be found through the app, but someone who already had its direct link might still open it.

  • BackupsOur database provider may keep routine backups for a short period after deletion, after which they are overwritten.

Deleting your account cannot be undone. If you sign up again with the same email, you start with a new, empty account.
