Privacy Policy: Drape: T-shirt Mockup Maker

Effective Date: 20 October 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Drape: T-shirt Mockup Maker ("Drape", "the app", "we", "us") handles information when you use the app on Android. Drape lets you place your own designs on garment photos and create realistic product mockups.

We built Drape to collect as little information as possible. There are no accounts, no sign-in, and we don't ask for your name, email address, phone number, contacts, or location.

1. Photos and Designs You Choose

When you add a design, garment photo, or background photo, you select it yourself from your gallery or take it with your camera. The app only accesses the photos you choose.

When you tap Render, the app sends the garment photo, your designs, and your layout settings to our rendering server over an encrypted connection (HTTPS).

Our server:

  • Creates the mockup in memory.

  • Sends the finished image back to your phone.

  • Does not store your photos, designs, or mockups.

  • Discards the images as soon as the mockup is returned.

The same applies to features that prepare a photo, such as removing a print's background or measuring a garment's folds and shading. Images are processed in memory and discarded immediately after processing.

We do not use your images to train any AI model, and we do not send them to any third-party AI service. Background removal runs on our own server.

Data Stored on Your Phone

  • Templates you add, drafts you save, and the app's settings are stored only on your device.

  • Mockups are saved to your phone's gallery in a "Drape" album only when you tap Save.

  • Mockups are shared only when you tap Share.

  • Uninstalling the app deletes everything the app stored on your phone, except mockups you previously saved to your gallery.

2. Install ID and Daily Mockup Limit

Drape has a daily limit on free mockups.

To count mockups without requiring an account, the app creates a random install ID when it first starts.

This ID:

  • Is randomly generated.

  • Is not linked to your name, Google account, or phone's hardware identifiers.

  • Is replaced with a new ID if you uninstall and reinstall the app.

The install ID is sent with each request to our server.

Information Stored on Our Server

A. Install ID and Daily Usage Counts

  • What we collect: Your install ID, daily number of mockups created, and rewarded videos watched.

  • Why we collect it: To apply and manage daily usage limits.

  • How long we keep it: Automatically deleted approximately 3 days after the day ends.

B. Install ID, App Version, and Last Used Date

  • What we collect: Your install ID, app version, and the date you last used the app.

  • Why we collect it: To keep older app versions working and understand which versions are still in use.

  • How long we keep it: Retained while the app remains in use. You can request deletion at any time (see Section 8).

C. Hashed IP Address and Daily Request Count

  • What we collect: A one-way, keyed hash of your IP address, along with a daily request count.

  • Why we collect it: To prevent abuse and excessive requests from a single internet connection.

  • How long we keep it: Automatically deleted approximately 3 days later.

  • Privacy: We do not store your actual IP address in this record.

D. Rewarded Video Transaction ID

  • What we collect: The unique transaction ID associated with a rewarded video advertisement.

  • Why we collect it: To ensure each rewarded video is counted only once and prevent duplicate rewards.

  • How long we keep it: Retained to prevent duplicate rewards.

Technical Server Logs

Like most online services, our hosting provider (Google Cloud) automatically collects short-term technical request logs.

These logs may include:

  • Request time and date.

  • IP address.

  • Server response status.

  • Other technical information required for security and troubleshooting.

These logs are used to maintain service reliability, investigate technical issues, and protect against abuse.

Technical logs do not contain your images.

3. Advertising

Drape is free to use and displays advertisements through Google AdMob, a service provided by Google LLC.

The app may display the following types of advertisements:

  • Banner Ads: Displayed at the bottom of certain screens.

  • Interstitial Ads: Full-screen advertisements that may appear after you save a mockup.

  • Rewarded Video Ads: Optional advertisements you can choose to watch to receive additional mockups for the day.

Information Collected by Google AdMob

To display, measure, and improve advertisements, Google AdMob may collect information such as:

  • Your device's advertising ID.

  • IP address.

  • Device and application information.

  • Advertising interactions and engagement data.

Google AdMob may use this information to display personalised advertisements, subject to your settings and applicable laws.

When you complete a rewarded video, AdMob informs our server that the reward was earned using your install ID and a transaction ID. This allows us to add the additional mockups to your daily limit.

Managing Advertising Preferences

You can reset your advertising ID or manage personalised advertising preferences through your Android device settings.

Depending on your device, these settings may be found under:

  • Settings → Google → Ads

  • Settings → Security & Privacy → Other Privacy Settings → Ads
